Hello friends, welcome to my another blog post how to create a simple add, edit, delete, list application using php & MySQL. This application is for beginners who started their career in php and want to know how php interact with MySQL. Using this application you can check your MySQL command like SELECT, INSERT, UPDATE, DELETE. At first I will describe the whole process (logic) and then I will code it.

Suppose you need to create a small student management system, where you add new student, view all student records, edit a single student, delete a single student etc.

So first of all we have to create a database to store the data. Lets name it sms. Now we have to create table to store student records, lets name it student. So sms is the database name and student is the table name. Suppose we have to store student id, name, email, address, age. So our student table will consist this five columns.

Now open your phpmyadmin and copy the below code and paste it.

Add, edit, delete, list application

So our database table is ready. Now we do some php coding to make it working.

Here I will create 5 php files

connection.php // connection with MySQL and input validation functions
addstudent.php // Add a new student
index.php // See all student list and add new student link
edit.php // Edit a single student record
delete.php // Delete a single student record

PHP Code to Add Edit List Delete Record

Connection.php for database connection and data validation functions

Addstudent.php for add new student record

index.php for listing/view all student records and add new student page link

edit.php for updating student record

delete.php for deleting student record

Here is the end of my add, edit, delete, list application using PHP MySQL. If you find this article useful, do share it on Facebook and Google plus. If you have any questions regarding this small application, feel free to ask via comment.

Spread the love
